Overview

For any venture capital, a strong online presence is essential for showcasing expertise, attracting potential investors, and establishing credibility. The client, a leading venture capital fund, recognized the need for a digital presence that aligned with their vision and offered an engaging experience for potential partners and startups. They approached Zerozilla to redesign their website with a focus on improving branding, user experience, and interactive elements. The main goal was to create a website that would not only reflect the client’s high level of professionalism but also offer potential investors a seamless, informative experience. By integrating a custom content management system (CMS) and adding dynamic features like external user access for job applications, we aimed to create a platform that was both aesthetically appealing and functional for different user needs.

Problem

The client’s previous website, built on a WordPress template, lacked the flexibility and features necessary for a modern venture capital firm. It failed to fully reflect the brand’s commitment to innovation and professionalism and was challenging to manage for the internal and external users, including the recruiters who were hiring for their start-ups. The website was static and difficult to scale, preventing the client from providing a more interactive and personalized experience to their audience. The absence of a custom CMS to manage diverse forms of content such as articles, news, videos, podcasts, and interviews led to inconsistent presentation and poor engagement. Additionally, the website’s recruitment section needed a custom-built CMS that would allow external users to easily access job applications and portfolio information. With multiple user roles required to manage job postings and applications, the existing structure couldn’t handle these features effectively. This lack of functionality led to inefficiencies in managing applications and limited the website’s potential to engage visitors fully.

Where We Began

The project began with understanding the client’s pain points, which included a lack of flexibility in their WordPress setup and poor user experience across devices.

Choosing the Technology

We selected React for the front end to enable a dynamic, responsive experience, and Node.js for the backend to handle data securely and efficiently. MariaDB ensured a stable and scalable database solution.

Technology Stack

Technologies likes React, React Router, GSAP, Node.js and MariaDB were chosen.

Tools Used

ViteJS, Framer Motion were the tools used. Additionally, GSAP was used for Animations and Tailwind CSS was used for UI design.
